This year’s 4H american seafood competition includes teams from Louisiana, Rapides Parish,Vermillion Parish and Iberia Parish; Jackson County, Mississippi; Marion County, South Carolina; and Pike County, Arkansas.
The students will compete with domestic seafood and present their dishes to a panel of judges.
The competition takes place on Monday, August 8 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Opening ceremonies will be at 10:30 a.m. and the closing ceremonies will be at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased for $5 at the door or in advance at local Whole Food Markets in Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
