LASCO Brings State’s Best Chefs To Compete And Crown Next LA Seafood Royalty

Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board (LSPMB) will host the Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Eleven chefs from across Louisiana will compete for the title of King of Louisiana Seafood. Now in its 9th year, this prestigious competition takes place at the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience (NOWFE) in the Ernest M. Morial Convention Center.

Michael Brewer, King of Louisiana Seafood, will reign over the kitchen at Manning’s

 

This year has been a roller coaster ride for chef Michael Brewer. In May, he was crowned the King of Louisiana Seafood at an annual cook-off. In September, Brewer closed the Sammich, his creative po-boy shop on Maple Street.
