Don’t Scrimp on Shrimp

So Lent is over, but that doesn't mean you have to stop enjoying Louisiana seafood. There are just a few more months of crawfish, but shrimp season is just kicking into gear! Louisiana Seafood Board has made it real easy to see what you could (and should) be eating at any given part of the year. They even have great recipes, storage solutions, and directions on how to open those little suckers properly.
I for one, am in love with shrimp. And it's mild flavor, relatively low cost, and versatility mean it's a great option for a weeknight. It cooks up quickly and always seems to please my crowd of diners. This week's shrimp features Latin flavors in a kid-friendly format that means few battles and lots of happy plates. When you're looking for a yummy protein to mix up your run-of-the-mill taco night, don't scrimp on shrimp!
