Lt. Governor Nungesser & the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board are Calling All Chefs Dear Chefs and Restaurateurs, It’s that time of year again! The 2018 Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off will take place in Lafayette, June 19 in conjunction with the Eat Lafayette kick-off. This will be a fantastic opportunity for chefs from across the state to compete before 2,000 attendees for the title “King or Queen of Louisiana Seafood.”

GASCO 4-H Competition.jpg On August 5th, seven teams representing six different states traveled to Louisiana to participate in the GASCO 4-H Competition. Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee had teams of 2-4 high school 4-H members. A congratulations goes out to the team from South Carolina who came in first place with their Blue Crab Cakes dish. It was a wonderful competition and it was great to see such amazing young talent.
